TITLE: Shift Supervisor
EXEMPT STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Strauss Feeds is a division of Strauss Dairy Group. Strauss Feeds is committed to being the premier manufacturer of infant animal milk replacers. Our customers include dairies, calf ranches, distributors, feed mills and retail farm stores. The Production Supervisor leads their assigned shift in the production of our finished product.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
· Set-up of the line each day, both personnel and raw ingredients.
· Responsible for the shut down and clean-up of facility.
· Verify formulas and usage paperwork.
· Verify ingredients, usage, and what is needed and report it to Supervisor and Office Staff.
· Run and participate in production as needed.
· Train new hires on company assigned training programs.
· Perform weekly and monthly facility inspections.
· Train and re-certify employees on power equipment.
· Employee management.
· Troubleshoot production issues and work with Maintenance Team.
· Work with outside vendors as needed.
· Operate forklift.
· Run daily stand-up meetings.
OTHER DUTIES:
· Tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations or Chief Operating Officer.
· May travel between two Watertown, WI facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment.
· Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the workplace with a proven track record of leading a team.
· Must be able to use Microsoft Office, manufacturing software, and ERP system.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· High School completion or above.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Work is typically performed at a normal temperature, not subject to variations in temperature, noise, odors, dust, etc. infrequent visits to various locations may be necessary with exposure to noise, odors, dust, dirt, heat, cold, etc.
· Must have good manual dexterity.

Production Worker
Summary:
Production of Calf Milk Replacer. Sealing, stacking, loading and unloading trucks, cleaning. Must be able to lift 50# on a continuous basis. Willing to train.
Description:
At Strauss Feeds, we make top-quality, private label milk replacers that optimize the growth and health of infant animals.
We are hiring a Production Worker – General Labor for our operation in Watertown, WI which is about 50 miles west of Milwaukee. In this position you will assist in production of Calf Milk Replacer. Sealing, stacking, loading and unloading trucks, cleaning. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis. Forklift and computer experience helpful but not necessary. Willing to train. Hours 9:00 a.m. to 5:30/6:30 p.m.

Major Responsibilities
Works as a team member to produce a quality calf milk replacer.
Bagging of product that is manufactured.
Making sure the bags are sealed or sewed.
Checking to make sure the product code is on the bag and is correct.
Working at the end of the line monitoring the robot and verifying the correct count on the pallets.
Wrapping and putting feed in assigned rows.
Putting the correct pallet tags in the pallets.
Must be trained and able to drive a forklift.
Unloading trucks
Verifying cleanliness of the truck (broken bags, spillage, condition of the load)
Verifying count
Signing the BOL and noting any discretions with the load.
Follow the procedure for receiving raw materials.
Cleaning equipment, floors, and all other cleaning that requested by the supervisor.
Assist in the shipping of finished feed.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Plant Foreman.
Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a professional and welcoming environment for employees, guests, and customers. This position ensures the smooth daily operation of the office through effective coordination of communications, office supplies, and administrative tasks.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Reception & Communication
Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
Greet and assist visitors, ensuring proper sign-in and adherence to safety and security procedures.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
Office Administration
Maintain and organize office supply inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, conference rooms, and reception space.
Coordinate maintenance and service requests for office equipment or facilities as needed.
Production Administration
Create and print product and pallet tags accurately and in accordance with company standards.
Update and distribute production schedules and daily production documents.
Maintain tag templates and databases to ensure up-to-date and compliant information.
Collaborate with production team to fulfill tag requests in a timely manner.
General Support
Assist with special projects as needed and provide general administrative support to cross-functional teams as needed.
Qualifications
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Ability to balance multiple priorities across administrative functions.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs occasionally.
Ability to frequently move between office and plant areas, including stairs.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in an office, administrative, or customer service role.
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based work in a temperature-controlled environment.
Occasional visits to the production plant with exposure to noise, dust, and variable temperatures.
